Our team at One Stop Consult have been commissioned by a repeat client to undertake Sustainable Drainage Systems producing the necessary drainage model, calculations, and drawings achieving the most cost effective drainage strategy for the developer. We designed this to discharge into a manmade pond. Initially the developer contracted a structural engineer to undertake this particular scope of work and came across a barrier with the Environment Agency during the planning conditions discharge. As they are not specifically specialists in the area.
This outcome put a lot of undue pressure on the developer to source and instruct the right professionals to attain the approval for the development considering the future 14 units to be build in phase 4 of the development.
We were able to do all the relevant hydraulic modelling and reporting to achieve approval from the Environment Agency at the earliest convenience concluding the developer did not have to be pushed back further on the planning process. Which would have cause a lot of consequential knock on effects I.E Start Dates & Price Fluctuations .
